There are several apps already available in playstore which is similar to Newzly. InShorts is one of the most popular news in brief app in this segment. Apps like Knappily, PublicVibe, serves the similar segment and already popular among the users.

InShorts recently reported that advertisements drive their profits and they are also planning to launch a video based news app in early 2018.

With an increased demand for content catering to fast-moving generation and increase in smartphone usage, India seems to a good market for content platforms in both text-based and video based. With Video on the rise, these companies will try to invest more time on creating and distributing original video contents. Newzly and other similar apps might be profitable in short-term from their ad revenues but in the long-term they might want to strategize how to cater their time savvy younger audience.
